WHY PORCELAIN?
Scratch Proof
Impossible to scratch with normal kitchen utensils.
Stain Proof
Cannot be stained by household chemicals or foodstuffs.
(Oh and drink stuffs are fine too, but remember, the sooner you wipe them off the less scrubbing will be required.)
Heat resistant
Hot pan or pot, straight onto the counter, no problem.
Crème Brulee directly on the countertop if you so desire.
